Surgical oncologist and founder director of Asvins Specialty Hospitals. He founded the surgical oncology department at NIMS Hyderabad and the Surgical Oncology Society of Andhra Pradesh, and started the DNB surgical oncology course at NIMS. He trained in surgical gastroenterology in Madras, and held visiting posts at the Cancer Institute in Tokyo and at MSKCC in New York.
