About

Liver transplant and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgeon who founded the South Asian Liver Institute in 2013 after 17 years of surgical training and practice in the UK. He performs living and deceased donor liver transplants, including split-liver and paediatric transplants, and surgery for liver, gallbladder and pancreas cancers. The site credits him with the first split-liver transplant in the combined Andhra States (2015) and with introducing ERAS for liver transplantation. He founded The Liver Foundation charitable trust and the LIVERIMAGE online platform for liver surgeons, and his research interests include antibiotic resistance in liver transplant patients.
